Feel analogue - work with digital precision
MUSOTOKU sees it this way: The most important thing in your studio is, of course, yourself. You are the artist with whom everything begins. From your experience, you immediately recognise which colors are best suited for a certain tattoo wish, which needle is best suited for it, at which angle you will pierce the tattoo into the skin and at what speed your machine must run.
The machine is the second most important thing you have in the studio. But the third most important thing is a good power supply. You have to be sure that it's stable, strong and reliable so that you can stitch clean lines.

The MUSOTOKU power supply works with any rotary or coil machine. It doesn't get hot even afterlong use, so you can leave it running all day without a problem.
Designed to be operated completely instinctively and without unnecessary gimmicks, the MUSOTOKU power pack is very easy to use.
Important details
Nothing compares to the feeling of control you get when using the knob. You can smoothly and precisely adjust the voltage in 0.1 V increments from 2 to 16 volts, with an audible click that's almost ASMR quality.
The high-contrast OLED display on the front shows you the current voltage at all times.
With a simple, straightforward push of a button, you can choose between four different voltage settings to change speed or swap out your machine.
You can operate the pedal in three modes:
- Either you hold it down to keep the machine running or you switch it on with the click-on button.
- You switch with the click-on/off mode or
- You select the continuous mode and use the push-button without the pedal.
The pedal input is specially designed to respond as fast as you feel - with less than 1 ms delay, even if the contacts are a little dirty.
The configurable NITRO® function provides an extra power boost: right after you step on the pedal, it feeds your machine extra power for 0.5 seconds, so you can start even very powerful motors on low volts.
With three overvoltage protection systems, the MUSOTOKU power supply monitors your machine and simply switches off if there are problems with the machine or the cables. This prolongs the life of your equipment considerably!

The MUSOTOKU story: how Data gave the power supply a boost
"Everyone has a childhood hero who inspires them and guides them through their early years. My childhood hero was Data from the movie 'The Goonies'. He was a supporting character who played the nerdy boy inventor. He was smart, funny and humble, and he was amazing at saving the day for his friends. I think I bonded with him so quickly because I knew I wanted to be an inventor a few years earlier," recalls David, the future manufacturer of MUSOTOKU power supplies. As a six-year-old, he had his first assignment as an official technician at the children's summer camp because he was the only one who knew how to repair torches (which still worked terribly complicated in the 1980s).
David then realized his childhood dream as an electronics engineer, working on planes, satellites and high-speed trains in some of the most incredible and iconic engineering offices in the world. But was that enough? Not really. Said in the original voice: "I'm glad I was always surrounded by great minds to learn from, but in a sense I felt my hero Data would have gone further."
By March 2007, the first MUSOTOKU PSU was completed. The prototype was adapted for tattoo machines in various studios, and then presented at the Barcelona International Tattoo Convention a few months later. A young couple from France bought the first MUSOTOKU power supply ever, and: "That was a special moment for me. Although my heartbeat could still be heard from ten metres away, I tried to look professional and get used to the routine of selling. And parallel to all this fake control, my head kept saying, 'It's happening, it's happening!' It was very emotional for me, and even today I struggle to keep my nerves when I talk about it."
The MUSOTOKU maker never spent the first money earned from the PSU, but kept it in a red box with a funny label that said "GOONIES". He carefully placed the box in a drawer, where it has remained to this day, becoming a symbol for him:"Sometimes when I open the drawer to look for something and my eyes fall on the little red box, I can't help but think of a little boy fixing torches, and somehow I feel that everything has a purpose and that everything has finally worked out because I stayed true to what I love most."
