For every tattoo artist who owns a Cheyenne Sol Nova Pen or one of the new battery powered Cheyenne Sol Nova Unlimited, the new Sol Nova grips are an absolute must-have! In this blog post we will explain to you why the Sol Nova grips are so practical.
The manufacturer, MT Derm, is a German company with the highest quality standards for which the company is known worldwide. With highly innovative products, the company has already revolutionized the work of tattoo artists several times in recent years.
How Cheyenne revolutionized tattooing.
The Cheyenne story began in 2006 with the first rotary tattoo machine called "Cheyenne Hawk". Of course, Rotary tattoo machines had been around since the 1970s - but the Cheyenne Hawk was the first Rotary machine that became internationally successful in mass production. The very first Rotary Tattoo Machine was constructed by the tattoo artists Horst Heinrich („Tattoo Samy“) Streckenbach and Manfred Kohrs around 1970.
However, the biggest innovation of the Cheyenne Hawk was the use of needle cartridges. For the first time it was possible to change the needles directly at the machine with only one handle. Previously, the tattoo artist had to prepare a separate tattoo machine with the usual needles on needle bar for each required needle configuration. Thus, it was not uncommon for tattooists to need five to six tattoo machines to do their work. The needle cartridges made the work of tattooists much easier. In addition, the initial costs, maintenance costs and preparation time before each appointment are much lower if you only need one tattoo machine.
The Cheyenne assortment
After the success of the first Cheyenne Hawk tattoo machine, many other rotary tattoo machines followed in addition to extensive accessories such as foot switches, power supplies and cables. The Hawk Spirit, the Hawk Thunder, the Hawk Pen, the Sol Nova, the Sol Luna and the Sol Terra are available from us alongside the new battery-powered Cheyenne Sol Nova Unlimited.
The new Cheyenne Sol Nova grips
We could tell you so much about the Cheyenne range - but this blog post is about the new Cheyenne Sol Nova grips. As the name suggests, the new Sol Nova handles can be used with the Sol Nova and Sol Nova Unlimited. They are a sustainable and environmentally friendly alternative to the disposable grips called D-Grips. By the way, the D-Grips are very popular because of their slightly softer material and special ergonomic shapes.
The Sol Grips are made of aluminum and are autoclavable. The stitch depth of the Sol Grips is infinitely variable up to 4mm and the diameter is 33mm. The Grips are manufactured in Germany according to medical standards (ISO 13458).
The shape and weight of the Sol Grips allow for comfortable and precise machine operation. They are also available in 6 different colors. So you can customize the color of your Sol Nova or Sol Nova Unlimited to suit your taste.
If you have several grips, you can prepare a separate grip for each appointment for a working day with several appointments. This can save you a lot of time.
Did we awake your interest? Then try the new Sol Grips and convince yourself of the quality.
